A Taste of Jamaica in Dubai: Miss Lily’s New Summer Brunch Brings Caribbean Vibes to the City

The buffet brunch is an experience that transports you to the heart of Jamaica.

Jamaica, renowned as the birthplace of reggae, Bob Marley, and the world’s fastest sprinters, is also famous for its Blue Mountain coffee and rich, aromatic drinks. Its breathtaking beaches, jerk dishes, luxurious all-inclusive resorts, and majestic waterfalls draw visitors from around the globe.

Can’t make it there? Don’t worry. Miss Lily’s, the Kanye West-approved hotspot with locations in New York, Dubai, and Jamaica, brings you all those Caribbean vibes with its new Summer Brunch, right to the heart of Dubai.

Starting right from the container-like door, the interior captures every detail to make you feel like you’re truly in Jamaica. Think brick walls adorned with portraits of Jamaican legends, ethnic-patterned curtains and tablecloths, neon signs advertising vintage sodas and colour televisions adding a nostalgic touch, while retro-styled posters and vinyl albums cover the walls. From the decor to the record-shaped tables, music is woven into every detail of Miss Lily’s ethos.

The beats of hip-hop, RnB, and Dancehall, courtesy of DJs Crown Prince and Scottie B, immediately set the mood as soon as you enter. The vibe is electric, reminiscent of the 2000s, making it impossible not to sway to the music.

The brunch begins with a bunch of starters that promise to take your taste buds on a Caribbean adventure. The Pumpkin Chicken Soup is a warm, comforting hug in a bowl, while the BBQ Wings, with their perfect balance of smoky and tangy flavors, are an instant crowd-pleaser. But the Patties steal the show—golden, flaky pastries filled with spiced meat that had everyone coming back for seconds.

The main courses are a celebration of Jamaican flavours. The Ackee & Saltfish, a national dish, is a standout with its authentic taste. The Jerk Chicken, with its fiery kick, is perfectly complemented by the rich and hearty Oxtail Stew. Vegetarians are not left out, thanks to the creamy, coconut-infused Vegetable Rundown.

At the carving station, the Jerk Brisket is a carnivore’s favourite, juicy and flavourful. The sides—Fried Plantain, Rice & Peas, Fried Dumpling, and Steamed Vegetables—round out the culinary journey.

No brunch is complete without dessert, and Miss Lily’s delivers a truly delightful selection. The sweet potato pudding is moist and fragrant, capturing the essence of Caribbean indulgence. The live pancake station, dishing out chocolate and cinnamon flavours truly satisfies those sweet cravings. For a refreshing finish, the Fresh Fruit Platter is the perfect palate cleanser.

And just when you think the fun is over, the bar team keeps the energy high, blowing an air horn at different times to offer specialty shots at just AED 20 for a 5-minute window—a deal no one wants to miss.

Every Saturday from 2 pm – 6 pm. Packages start from Dhs 295
