Rain in the UAE is the ultimate seasonal tease—talked about more than it actually happens. But as Eid Al Etihad approaches, the question on everyone’s mind is: are we finally trading blue skies for some well-deserved rain clouds? The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) seems to think so.

Starting from Wednesday night through Friday, the UAE is expecting light to moderate rainfall, overcast skies, and—of course—dust storms. Areas like Abu Dhabi and the Eastern regions are likely to see scattered showers, while strong winds sweeping across the country could make outdoor plans a bit of a gamble.

Expect weather shift that will have you debating between staying cozy indoors or heading out for a hot karak and a playlist of rainy-day classics.

With rain comes responsibility, though. Wet roads combined with loose desert sand can turn driving into a slippery challenge, so authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution and stay alert during their commutes.

While we all cross our fingers for a much-needed break, it’s worth noting that UAE weather has a way of keeping us on our toes.

Stay tuned to updates from the NCM for the latest on weather conditions, and maybe, just maybe, dig out that umbrella. You might actually need it this time.
