Ramadan has become an increasingly important moment in the fashion calendar, with brands dedicating collections to the season’s emphasis on elegance and occasion dressing. For Spring ‘25, Blahnik draws from a familiar set of inspirations—Mediterranean landscapes, architecture, and art—translating them into refined footwear. The Houzamclo and Ajara styles incorporate the Breton stripe, inspired by traditional Mediterranean parasols, while the Ravellanu features beaded coral buckles, a nod to Blahnik’s ongoing fascination with the sea.

Floral motifs appear in the Jardino and Jardolyne styles, featuring embroidered mesh reminiscent of the royal gardens of Turin, while the Marwam and Rached sandals incorporate suede accents inspired by frangipani blooms. The Fawda sandal and Ayam pump take cues from the Greco-Roman statues of Sagalassos, and the structured bows of Readorhi and Readorflat reference traditional Spanish toreador ensembles.

The collection also reflects Blahnik’s admiration for fashion and film. The woven Rayaah and Capcour styles feature metallic finishes reminiscent of a 1997 Vogue Italia cover, while Walidoso and Ansak include pleated suede details that bring to mind Sophia Loren’s distinct aesthetic.

Architectural and artistic influences further shape the capsule. The Khalilac and Cha’am silhouettes draw inspiration from Mario Botta’s geometric church designs, while Hodouby, Kalb, and Hakir reference the abstract compositions of Wassily Kandinsky and Bridget Riley. The Kifat pump incorporates pearl details, a subtle homage to Vermeer’s ‘Girl with the Pearl Earring.’

The collection also revisits house classics—the Maysale and Hangisi styles return in updated shades of pink, blue, yellow, and peach, with additional metallic finishes drawn from Blahnik’s archives.
