There’s a new jewellery brand that needs to be on your radar, Kahawaty Jewels, the brain-child of humanitarian-entrepreneur Jessica Kahawaty and her father, master jeweller Ghassan Kahawaty. Three generations of craft sit behind the launch, but the mood is decidedly 2025—clean lines, bold silhouettes and a sense of family warmth.

At the heart of the debut line is “Octagon,” a nod to 1988—a year that saw both Jessica’s birth and Ghassan’s takeover of the family business. The eight-sided motif (read: infinity, continuity, good vibes) shapes chunky bangles, stack-happy rings and sculptural ear-candy that can be a staple across generations.

The duo’s first boutique—tucked inside The Court Residence in Jumeirah 1—leans into an old-school, family-jeweller spirit. Think private stone-selection sessions, bespoke commissions, and natural diamonds that are all GIA-certified. Production stretches from Sydney to Hong Kong to Dubai, but the vibe inside the store is intimate: clients try pieces on with the founders themselves guiding the process.

“Jewellery should be more than an accessory,” Jessica notes, framing each piece as “emotion and legacy, shaped by beauty, purpose and connection.” Ghassan adds that every design captures “an emotional milestone, crafted to be treasured today and handed down through generations.”

Whether you’re hunting for a classic tennis bracelet, a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, or simply a new excuse to wander Jumeirah’s backstreets, Kahawaty Jewels is officially open to visit and shop. Slide into @kahawatyjewels for a preview—then swing by the boutique to let an octagon (or eight) do the talking.
