Interview: How Sakshi Nath is Rewriting Dubai’s Salon Rulebook

Meet the woman behind Queens Beauty Lounge—the luxury salon with the Dubai Bling stars' stamp of approval.
Sakshi Nath, Founder, Queens Beauty Lounge

In a city where a lunchtime blowdry can rival the bill for dinner at DIFC, tracking down a salon that feels indulgent without tipping into excess is practically a full-time job. That balance is precisely what entrepreneur Sakshi Nath set out to engineer with Queens Beauty Lounge—a luxe nook located in the heart of The Meadows Village that delivers queen treatment while keeping the experience accessible to all. Her ethos is simple—luxury needn’t be elusive; it just has to feel earned, thoughtful, and worth returning to week after week.

The restaurant-entrepreneur-turned-beauty-lounge-founder’s journey takes a scenic route, from a seafood venture in Lagos to co-creating Dubai fine-dining darling Trèsind, before channelling her own manicure frustration into a new playbook for beauty lounges. “It wasn’t just one moment, it was the constant struggle to find a place that offered high-quality treatments, an expert team and a truly relaxing environment, all under one roof,” she says. “I believed it was possible to create a one-stop destination where beauty didn’t feel out of reach,” and a one-stop destination her Dubai salon is.

In this exclusive chat, Sakshi sits down with Soigné to unpack the road from fine dining to fine-tuned facials—and why accessible luxury might be Dubai’s best-kept secret.

Can you walk us through your journey? From seafood trading to co-founding Trèsind and running Queens Beauty Lounge?

The seafood business was originally started and run by my husband in Lagos, Nigeria. When we moved to Dubai, I was inspired to pursue my own passion. That journey led me into the hospitality space with Trèsind and eventually into the beauty industry, where Queens Beauty Lounge was born out of a very personal need, a space that combined luxury and accessibility in one place.

Queens Beauty Lounge was born from your own hunt for indulgent treatments that didn’t feel gated by price tags. What moment or beauty mishap sparked the idea that “there has to be a better beauty lounge,” and how does that first spark still guide your day-to-day decisions?

It wasn’t just one moment, it was the constant struggle to find a place that offered high-quality treatments, an expert team and a truly relaxing environment, all under one roof. I believed it was possible to create a one-stop destination where beauty didn’t feel out of reach. That vision continues to guide every decision, from the team we hire to the brands we work with and the experience we offer each client.

Running multiple ventures can be exhausting. Which treatment do you personally rely on to reset, and why is it a non-negotiable in your own routine?

Our signature hot oil treatment is my go-to. It’s a hair therapy passed down from my mother, deeply nourishing, strengthening and comforting. I also love a good face massage with organic oils to rejuvenate my skin and foot reflexology to unwind after long days. These treatments are more than beauty rituals, they’re moments of peace.

What beauty trends are you most excited about this summer?

I’m particularly excited about Kérastase hair treatments, they’re perfect for combating the summer heat and restoring hair health. I also love paraffin treatments for hands and feet. They’re incredibly nourishing and offer that instant softness and glow that clients love during the warmer months.

Dubai teems with aspiring founders. What single piece of advice would you give to a young female entrepreneur today?

Follow your heart. Let your passion lead the way and pair it with relentless hard work. There really is no substitute for dedication and consistency. If your intentions are pure and your commitment is strong, success will follow.

What’s the story behind one treatment that is exclusively offered at Queens Beauty Lounge?

Our signature hot oil treatment is something truly close to my heart. It’s a remedy passed down by my mother, using traditional techniques and natural oils to strengthen and nourish the hair. We’ve perfected it over the years and it remains one of our most-loved services, both for its effectiveness and its heritage.

Picture Queens Beauty Lounge five years from now. What do you see first — more locations, a product line, a wellness crossover, and what personal legacy do you hope that future paints for Sakshi?

In five years, I envision several locations, including a pet-friendly branch where clients can enjoy treatments without leaving their furry companions behind. We’re also working toward launching our own product line, rooted in natural, effective ingredients and expanding into the wellness space, combining spa therapies with beauty treatments. My personal hope is that Queens Beauty Lounge continues to be a reflection of care, quality and community — A legacy built on warmth and excellence.
