Grab your sketchbooks, your campest fits, and mark your calendars, because Dubai Design Week is returning this November, from the 4th to the 9th, at d3 Waterfront Terrace, and is going to be bigger than ever, with creative workshops, exciting pop-ups, and insightful panel talks.
This year’s theme is “community”, aligning with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025, meaning you’ll be seeing meaningful, people-centric design ideas brought to life in beautiful ways.

Take, for example, the Urban Commissions competition, which invites designers and architects to reimagine the humble courtyard, with the winning design being turned into a reality. It’s art that becomes part of the everyday, bringing people together for the simple purpose of bringing them together.
What Else?
We have Editions, a showcase dedicated to limited-edition and collectible art and design pieces. With over 50 galleries, studios, and collectives in attendance from all over the world, you’re destined to find the conversation piece of your dreams here. Maybe that vase for your coffee table? Or that perfect painting to hang on your most prominent wall?
Want to gush at more expertly crafted furniture? Check out the much-loved Downtown Design exhibition, running from November 5-9, which is essentially Haute Couture Week, but for fashion! You’ll find international brands along with rising regional stars, including the UAE Designer Exhibition, which spotlights emerging local talent.
Then there’s Abwab, the festival’s signature pavilion series (Abwab literally means “doors” in Arabic). This year’s theme, “In the Details,” is all about cultural ornamentation with patterns and design traditions being showcased from all over Asia and Africa.
If all this architecture talk is tickling your brain, you can keep going with the d3 Architecture Exhibition, organised by d3 in partnership with Royal Institute of British Architects, and take a deep-dive into how good, intentional design supports civic wellbeing in fast-growing cities.
Yes, you can have fun and learn stuff!
More info is available at dubaidesignweek.ae – and yes, entry is free. So go ahead, bring the whole community, and enjoy a week-long celebration of artistry and togetherness.
