Milan Fashion Week continues to prove why it is such a strong fashion capital. With exploration at the forefront, we caught a theme of brands showcasing a kalidascoope—whether that be colour, concept, or moments. For those who haven’t been keeping up, here are all the highlights from Milan Fashion Week SS26: Day 2.
Jil Sander

The latest debut to join the runways is Simone Bellotti for Jil Sander. Taking the approach of less-is-more, the Italian designer’s vision of Jil Sander was sleek, clean minimalism. As Jil Sander was one of the pioneers of minimalist fashion, this collection honoured the house codes with neutrals while still keeping it true to Bellotti’s vision with a juxtaposition of eclectic colours and his notable silver accent pieces. For the minimalist modest dresser, this collection brings a variety of offerings that will pair perfectly with a Gulf winter.
Fendi

Bold and strikingly beautiful, Fendi’s SS26 show was an artful display of vivid colour. From the colour-blocked runway to the looks in curated colour combinations, this was maximalism in all its glory. Florals were the central motif of this collection, with flower patterns cut out on jackets and dresses. The collection also highlighted the Peekaboo, which featured playful inner linings of sequins, beads, and, you guessed it, florals. Overall, the collection was vibrant and youthful, with plenty of standout individual pieces for the modest dresser to mix and match.
Loro Piana

Unveiling their SS26 collection, Loro Piana also took a stab at exploring colour. While their signature tailoring remained, the collection began with their signature neutral, earthy palette. What follows are accents of sun-drenched hues—yellow, red, and orange. The silhouettes are crisp and fluid, with loose volumes that work with the body yet don’t overshadow the craftsmanship that Loro Piana is known for.
Etro
Taking their own spin on boho fashion, Etro runway begins with its music. With singer La Niña and banging drums, the models marched to the beat as each piece vibrated with the sound. As for the looks themselves, they were just as loud, a visual mirror to the drums. We saw plenty of fringes—on dresses, bags, and jackets—embellished tops and jackets that danced in the light, and tiered skirts and maxi dresses that looked Frankensteined with other skirts and dresses.
Onitsuka Tiger
Titled ‘Urban Fantasy’, Onitsuka Tiger’s SS26 collection takes inspiration from their native base Tokyo. Surprisingly casual, the collection explored the dynamics between Japanese tradition and the capital city’s modernity. The standouts were the shoes of course, with their viral Mexico 66 sneakers reimagined into a ballet flat, the latest to join the sneaker-ballet iteration.
Antonio Marras

Antonio Marras blended art, literature, and fashion for his SS26 collection. Romantic and rebellious, the runway featured salt dunes with scattered open books—Marras’ two inspirations for gis collection. With this backdrop, Marras’ collection begins as a literary tale, with androgynous suits, princess gowns, and a clash of patterns and textures—from jacquard to lace, polka dots to floral prints.
