Les Benjamins has long been admired for its creative depth and meaningful approach to fashion. Under the direction of visionary designer Bünyamin Aydın, the brand has carved a niche in the fashion industry for not only shaping sartorial narratives but also fostering a sense of community.

In Aydın’s words, “Once you reconnect with your roots and the origins of how music genres started in your hometown, only then can you continue building new movements.” This ethos, of staying grounded in heritage while forging new paths, is what drives the streetwear-favourite label forward, and it is evident in every piece they create.

Eastern Punk is no exception. With this new line, Les Benjamins takes us on a bold journey, reimagining Turkish cultural history through the lens of punk. The collection pays tribute to Tünay Akdeniz, the icon of Turkey’s 1970s punk scene, reimagining elements of rebellion with Turkish design sensibilities. It’s a powerful fusion of old and new, and as always, Aydın stays true to the brand’s philosophy of merging cultural stories with contemporary fashion. The campaign, shot in London, reflects this seamless integration of contrasting worlds.

This collection goes beyond design to question the entire framework of who gets to wear what, pushing the boundaries of gendered fashion by offering fluidity in its silhouettes and designs. “Our focus is on creating pieces that can be enjoyed by all genders, and there’s nothing more rewarding than to be able to share our rich underground music community with the world,” said Lamia Al-Otaishan Aydın, womenswear design director. This inclusive approach tears down the walls between what fashion for men or women should be, creating instead a shared sartorial experience.

Think pleated skirts of all lengths, oversized blazers, daring asymmetrical cuts and distressed finishes, all in vivid colours like electric pinks, fiery reds, and mustard yellows clashing against moody blacks and purples.

Details like studs, safety pins, and unraveled hems bring a DIY punk edge, while the mix of textures—think plaid, metallics, and leather—speak to the core of punk’s rebellious spirit.

This is fashion without borders, inviting experimentation, self-expression, and a touch of irony. Forget old norms—this collection is for anyone ready to own their look, no matter who they are.
