Elie Saab’s handbags are about to meet new creative heights as the luxury Lebanese label appoints Marina Raphael as the Artistic & Design Director for its handbag division. Marina is no stranger to the high-stakes world of luxury accessories. Her own brand has made waves with its powerful shapes and statement crystal embellishments, a signature she’s refined as a member of the Swarovski family.

“I am deeply honored to join the ELIE SAAB brand as the Artistic & Design Director of Handbags,” she said, capturing the excitement of this special moment. “Working with Mr. Elie Saab, who has played an integral part in cultivating my passion for exceptional quality and craftsmanship, is a truly humbling experience.”

And it seems the feeling is mutual. Elie Saab Jr., CEO of ELIE SAAB Group, shared his confidence in her vision, saying, “We are excited to pursue the handbag category with Marina, whose impressive track record and proven ability to translate the brand’s vision will enhance our potential for success. Her past achievements and dedication to excellence assure us that she is the perfect partner for this endeavor.”

In her new role at ELIE SAAB, Marina will design and present four ready-to-wear collections and two haute couture collections annually. The first collection will debut at the ELIE SAAB Haute Couture Show in Paris, scheduled for January 2025.
