It’s finally that time of the year! Sole DXB is making its comeback from December 13 to 15, 2024, at Dubai Design District (d3) for its 12th edition. Known as the unofficial HQ for street culture in the region, the festival is back with a revamped program, an incredible lineup, and a larger-than-ever venue to lose yourself in sneakers, sounds, and style. For the first time, the event will run from 3 PM to 2 AM, giving visitors more time and space to soak it all in.
For those not in the know (where have you been?), Sole DXB is a meeting of minds, music, and, well, whatever cool means to you. Think of it as part block party, part creative symposium, and part a space for anyone obsessed with the cross-section of art, fashion, and sports. It is a platform for regional talents to rub elbows with global powerhouses.
This year, the venue expands to host over 100 brands, offering everything from streetwear essentials to one-of-a-kind collaborations. A second music stage also debuts, broadening the soundscape to include jazz, R&B, dance, and world music alongside the hip-hop staples the festival is known for.
Speaking of music, the 2024 edition promises a stellar lineup of international and regional acts. James Blake headlines on Friday, December 13, followed by Nigerian sensation Tems on Saturday, December 14, and the iconic hip-hop group The Roots closing the weekend on Sunday, December 15. Other notable acts include Arrested Development, DJ Questlove, and the UK jazz collective Ezra Collective.
For those craving an up-close experience, Sole DXB is introducing stage front passes and, for the first time, a VIP platform opposite the main stage for an exclusive view of the action.
But music is just the beginning. You will have showcases from regional and international designers. Whether you’re hunting for your next favorite local brand or catching a runway show that flips the script on streetwear, this is the spot.
Art lovers can explore interactive installations, while sports enthusiasts can check out basketball tournaments and skateboarding sessions that bring an edge to the event. Talks and workshops by industry leaders, and you have a weekend bursting with creativity and insight.
And let’s not overlook the food. Expect culinary offerings from some of Dubai’s top vendors, ensuring you stay fueled for a packed schedule of exploration and inspiration.
Tickets are available now, with general admission weekend passes starting at AED 395 and single-day passes for those popping in for a taste. Looking for something extra? VIP passes and stage front access offer a next-level festival experience.
