Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), the region’s definitive fashion fixture co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and Arab fashion Council (AFC), opened last night with Rizman Ruzaini’s show.

Rizman Ruzaini stole the show on the first day of Dubai Fashion Week, wowing the crowd with a collection that blends luxury with modernity. Celebs, influencers, VIPs, and fashion fans were front and centre, some decked out in cool, specially curated outfits from the maison.
The AW24/25 collection by the fashion house was all about giving a nod to the grandeur of the Mughal Empire, taking inspiration from Empress Mehrunissa’s timeless style. The runway featured 61 carefully crafted pieces, each blending old-school cuts with a modern twist that screams Rizman Ruzaini. From dhotis and kurtas to sherwani-salwar and kurta-pajamas, the collection gave a cool update to these classic styles. And let’s not forget the accessories – brooches, belts, and some fancy neck pieces.
Colors were on point, with lots of metallics like gold, bronze, silver, and shimmery blue stealing the spotlight, plus the brand’s signature deep black. The materials were top-notch too, with, sequined tweed, silky satin, and custom mesh tulle creating a lavish look that blends seamlessly with the brand’s favorite Italian twill taffeta. The showstopper? A stunning ivory gown introduces the fashion house’s bridal couture services to the GCC market. Now that’s how you own the runway!
