Istanbul Modest Fashion Week 2024 took place last week at the historical Fişekhane – Gallery with hundreds of attendees from all over the world. The event’s theme was “A Unique Fashion Call for Solidarity” and in this context, the organizer Think Fashion has been highlighting the importance of being inclusive, inviting the fashion industry to celebrate diversity.
Looking at the designer selection and their collections, it’s safe to say that Istanbul Modest Fashion Week 2024 kept its promise. Unique collections were seen on the runways from ready-to-wear to couture, demonstrating diversity at its best. We’ve curated a list of the top 5 most interesting collections from IMFW24 just for you!
Miha (Turkey)
The Turkish brand Miha by Hicran Önal’s collection was one of the most attention-grabbing collections. Dominated by pastels, lace, florals, and bows, the collection was truly dreamy, making the audience feel like they were in a movie.
Fashion By Shehna (UAE)
Emirati label Fashion By Shehna captivated the audience with its unique collection and interesting face accessories. The collection featured both vibrant and neutral colors as well as various silhouettes including figure-hugging dresses with corsets and long loose dresses.
Benang Jarum (Indonesia)
With its stripe and flower-themed collection, Indonesian brand Benang Jarum’s show was definitely one to be remembered. In the collection, stripes and flowers were mostly accompanied by muted colors and sometimes lace. The flowers were colorful and relatively big, stealing the spotlight.
Chee (Iran)
Persian label Chee’s collection showcased an array of styles during IMFW24. From suits and ties to traditional elements and embroideries, from colorful patterns to bold hair accessories, the collection basically included different mini collections in itself, surprising the audience with each look. Despite the diversity in styles, the collection maintained a cohesive theme that centered around historical and traditional elements.
Nada Puspita (Indonesia)
Indonesian designer Nada Puspita’s collection featured mostly neutral colors with traditional elements. Along with whites and nudes, some muted greens and burgundies were seen, and all were accompanied by small flowers, embroideries, and golds. The majestic collection was an example of art.
