For those of us who live for the next great streetwear drop, Les Benjamins is a name that needs no introduction. This Istanbul-based brand is well-renowned for combining cultural heritage with a modern edge, making it a favourite among the fashion-forward crowd. In recent news, the contemporary streetwear label has opened a new store in The Dubai Mall and trust me, it’s a must-visit.
If I were to explain it, I would say stepping into the new store feels like coming across a time machine that is dialed into both the past and the future. Officially opened on July 3rd, this is the brand’s third standalone location in Dubai, and it’s designed to impress.
The store is a beautiful convergence of Istanbul’s deep history and Dubai’s cutting-edge vibe. Think stainless steel panels etched with marble patterns, a nod to Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia, but with a futuristic feel. Founder and creative director Bünyamin Aydın’s deep connection to both cities can be felt in the the 108-square-meter store’s design, creating a space that’s as much about art and culture as it is about fashion.
But Aydın didn’t do it alone. He teamed up with Dong-Ping Wong of Food New York, an architect known for his innovative designs. This place is designed to make you feel something, whether it’s nostalgia for the past or excitement for what’s to come.
The real treat, of course, is the fashion. Les Benjamins’ new flagship offers an exclusive look at the SS24 Collection, ‘Kismet Voyage East to West.’ It’s sailing-inspired and perfect for those of us who dream of adventures on the open sea. You’ll also find the brand’s popular Tennis drop and a new collaboration with Spanish Moroccan artist Anuar Khalifi. This collection is a heartfelt tribute to the Arab diaspora and themes of immigration, marrying fashion with powerful storytelling.
Located on the second floor of Dubai Mall, at unit SD205, this flagship store isn’t just a place to shop. It’s set to become a hub for fashion lovers, artists, and architects alike, with special projects, workshops, and activations celebrating regional stories and identities.
The store is open from 10 am to 12 am, Monday to Thursday, and from 10 am to 1 am, Friday to Sunday.
