Just weeks after unveiling a jewellery line with her father, Jessica Kahawaty has announced another family venture—this time partnering with her mother, Rita Kahawaty. After the success of their meal delivery service ‘Mama Rita’, the entrepreneurial mother-daughter duo have penned their best recipes down in a book, to be enjoyed and experimented with, complete with a repertoire of family stories and personal memories.

Former Miss World Australia and humanitarian, Jessica Kahawaty, wrote on her Instagram about a “dream that started many years ago,” that has now turned into reality with a global cookbook deal with Penguin Random House. She is joined by her mother, Rita Kahawaty, who houses an ardent love of home cooking that has been passed down from her own mother, Nahil.

Beautifully photographed in Lebanon, the cookbook consists of over 75 Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes, promising rich and nourishing flavors that bring the whole family together.

Whether you’re looking for some aptly-named ‘Not Soggy Fattoush’ or craving Soulful Chicken Shawarma, or just want the comfort of Grandma’s Vegetarian Lasagna, the recipes in Mama Rita invites readers to gather around the table and enjoy the big-hearted flavours of family cooking.

Releasing on September 4th with Penguin Random House, “Mama Rita: Family Recipes from the Mediterranean” is infused with soul, those special shared memories that can elevate food to something that is so special, a vessel of cultural heritage and Proustian emotion. Claim your copy today.
