Art, Activism, and Arab Beats: Dubai’s July Culture Edit

No dull moments around here
Al Serkal Avenue

July’s cultural calendar is giving us art with edge, concerts that pull at your heartstrings, and festivals that turn up the tempo. So slip into something cool and hit the city.

This July, Dubai’s not just hot, it’s happening.

“No Trespassing” at Ishara Art Foundation

Walk into Alserkal’s coolest detour this month. Curated by Priyanka Mehra, this is a space where street culture meets fine art. No Trespassing is a bold summer group show running from July 4-August 30 that brings graffiti energy, urban textures, and underground spirit into a polished white-cube setting. From concrete walls to gallery halls, this exhibit proves art doesn’t need to be sanctioned to be powerful.

Graphic Dissent at ICD Brookfield Place

Graphic Dissent is a curated collision of activism, typography, and visual protest. From climate cries to feminist slogans, it’s bold printmaking with something to say. Whether you’re design-obsessed or just love a good typeface that makes sharp commentary, this show will have you snapping pics and reading between the lines. Opens July 8 at ICD Brookfield Place from 7 PM.
