Wimbledon isn’t just about intense rallies and epic volleys, it is the stomping ground for one of the most fashion-forward crowds in the world.

Dating back to 1877, the Championships are bound intricately by tradition. The iconic, sometimes controversial, all-white dress code was introduced in 1963, (mostly to keep the atheletes from visibly sweating), with guidelines so strict that any strip of color wider than a single centimetre would warrant a warning.

Fast-forward to 2025, and both players and spectators are acing their looks.

On the court, stars roused appreciation from the audience not only for their skill but for their fashion too, like Coco Gauff, who donned an ultra-feminine New Balance kit, complete with a pleated skirt, a lace tank top with embellished 3D butterflies, and adorable lettuce-trimmed socks.

Meanwhile, the Royal Box maintained their best-dressed reputation, serving up looks that stayed elegantly simple.

Somali-Swedish model Ikram was seen sporting an all Ralph Lauren fit, pairing a long striped blue-and-white maxi shirt with white trousers. The white vest added unexpected layering to the look, bringing tailored structure to her outfit while still maintaining a relaxing summer silhouette. Her matching blue hijab and brown Polo ID shoulder bag perfectly complemented the outfit’s soft tones.

Kate Middleton

The Princess doth never disappoint!

Kate Middleton delivered two iconic trophy‑presentation outfits. The first was a buttermilk-hued set with a pleated midi-skirt and a belted waist from Self‑Portrait, followed by a regal cobalt‑blue Roksanda dress that the Princess paired with statement accessories à la Daniella Draper for a gold necklace, and Cartier for her earrings.

Nicole Kidman

Kidman sure gave a show for her return to the Wimbledon arena, decades after her first appearance. Her outfit was a lesson in quintessential summer dressing, and we were seated for it. The actress wore a crisp cream-colored double-breasted suit by Brunello Cucinelli, crafted from lightweight linen with structured shoulders and striking black buttons, throwing a delicate feminine twist onto traditional menswear tailoring.

Olivia Rodrigo

If there was ever a vintage sundress that truly warranted obsession, it’s this one. And for so many reasons.

Rodrigo wore a vintage Ralph Lauren shirt dress from their SS 2000 collection, featuring a crisp-collared red gingham – the print of the summer – and button down construction. The popstar accessorized with a red seude shoulder bag from Khaite Simona, oval maroon sunnies, and rings from Frank Darling.

Not only was Rodrigo’s ensemble on point with Wimbledon’s theme of sophistication and elegancy, it was a nod to 2025’s gingham revival, and she must have literally handpicked it because it is actual ‘Y2K’ fashion, pointedly on brand with the pop darling’s nostalgic grunge rock aesthetic.

P.S. we just have to mention Rodrigo’s most fitting accessory, i.e., her British beau, Louis Partridge, who complemented her ‘fit perfectly, looking dapper in his navy suit and gold-striped red tie.

Keira Knightley

The star of your favorite Regency era book-to-film adaptation, Keira Knightley showed up on her home turf, dressed head-to-toe in her favorite label, Chanel.

The actress wore a crisp white button-up blouse, with elegantly wide lapels, paired with matching wide-leg pants. The look was elevated to the next level with curated accessories – a pearl and gold chain belt with a matching choker-style necklace. On her ears, a gorgeous stack of gold hoop earrings. And, of course, square black sunnies, all courtesy of Chanel. A low slicked-back bun, and a glossy black manicure completed the look.

Maude Apatow

Apatow donned a white lace broderie anglaise Victorian-inspired dress, complete with a high collar, scalloped tiers, and button-down detailing.

The starlet exuded vintage femininity and commanded an aura of Romance with a capital ‘R’, i.e., the chivalrous, white-horse, red-rose sort. Minimal accessories let the dress speak for itself. Apatow brought that genteel look with just a tad bit of drama – making some fashion commentators describe her look as bridal-like.

A bit too theatrical for a sporting event? Pish posh, this is the Championships. Tennis is all about that drama! If you’ve watched ‘Challengers‘, you would know.

Naomi Ackie

Ackie showed her versatility in a Totême maxi dress, combining a classic crewneck tee bodice with a voluminous, cocoon-shaped skirt, marking a sharp turn from her look the previous day, a polka-dot mini dress, with a denim jacket, Gucci loafers, and a red statement bag.

Sticking to minimal accessories, the ‘Mickey 17‘ actor’s ensemble flaunted sculptural finesse of the understated variety, right on brand with Wimbledon fashion.
