And Just Like That, the Sex and the City revival show is coming to an end. On August 1, 2025, the show’s writer, director, and showrunner, Michael Patrick King, announced on social media that the show will end with season 3, complete with a two-part finale.

“It’s with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years,” says King in his statement. And just like that, we’ve come to the end of an era.

We couldn’t help but wonder, what were the fans thinking? The reaction online to the news has been a mixed bag so far, as fans of the show have been walking alongside Carrie Bradshaw’s Manolos for over 25 years now. On one hand, viewers are sad to see an iconic show go. On the other hand, viewers have accepted the news and are happy to see the show have a conclusive ending.

And Just Like That premiered on HBO MAX in 2021, taking viewers back into the Sex and the City universe with Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon). The absence of Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) was clearly felt by fans, as Cattrall has openly stated her feud with her co-star and the show’s leading lady, Sarah Jessica Parker. Nevertheless, the remaining trio reunited in And Just Like That, bringing us back to New York City, fabulous fashion, and even more fabulous shoes.

While we’re unsure of how the show shall wrap up all its storylines in 12 episodes, the cast shall take their bow. And just like that, we say our goodbyes.
