SKIMS, the shapewear and loungewear brand founded by reality TV star Kim Kardashian, is set to open its first physical store in the Middle East, located at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. While the launch date has not yet been announced, residents have spotted a banner in the Mall of the Emirates for the brand’s store.
Launched in 2019, SKIMS has been consistently going viral for its shapewear and loungewear. More recently, the brand came under fire for the launch of a new product—the Seamless Sclupt Face Wrap—which led to many debates on beauty standards and insecurities.
Regardless of the controversy online, people in the Gulf seem to be excited for the new store. As of now, the only way to buy SKIMS is online and while online shopping has become as natural as physical shopping, to look and feel the clothes before buying is a huge plus.
