All the Highlights from Dubai Fashion Week Day 4

Spoiler: Lots of inspo ahead for the modest dresser
Dubai Fashion Week

Day 4 began in a more relaxed mood. The fashion crowd came dressed in edgy and modest outfits, a reflection of the shows we were about to see. Think chunky shoes, mixed metals, exaggerated silhouettes, bags big enough to fit the kitchen sink, and plenty of headwear. And matching the audience was the runway.

In case you missed it, here are the highlights from Dubai Fashion Week Day 4.

Benang Jarum

In hues of purples, blues, and cream, Benang Jarum’s collection felt like watching a gradient go by. If there was one word to describe this collection, we would say kaleidoscope. We saw bold patterns, printed skirts, plenty of pleats, plush floral motifs everywhere, and bags featuring floral embellishments and tassels that swayed at the bottom.

Nada Puspita

Nada Puspita’s collection can best be described as timeless, modest elegance. Starting with light florals, we quickly moved to butter yellow pieces that embody daytime, which was then followed by moody, darker pieces that were embellished as well as structured.  Overall, the collection was refined, with luxe fabrics made to be even more stunning with embroidery and craftsmanship.

XD Xenia Design

Considering that XD Xenia Design is supposed to be eccentric and wild, we were expecting nothing less than weird. Gifting the audience with a gold safety pin, the show began with a distorted piano. Strutting down the runway were looks we can only conjure up in our dreams, something that feels out of reality. The palette ranged from black to acid green, with footwear resembling traditional Japanese Getas. We saw plenty of ruffles and sheers, layered over a simple black base. When it comes to modest dressing, this collection definitely features pieces for the modest dresser if they hope to stand out in a peculiar way.
