Dubai Design Week, the festival dedicated to art, design, and creativity, is set to return for its 11th edition. Held at the Waterfront Terrace in Dubai Design District, the event will take place from November 4 – 9.
Bringing together creative minds and talent, both local and international, we can expect creative installations, exhibitions, workshops to help you get creative, talks, and a limited-edition art and design fair called Editions. We can also expect to see emerging artists across West and South Asia, as well as the wider Global South.
The festival also features an outdoor retail space called Marketplace, where you can support local businesses. You can expect a diverse range of artisans, emerging brands, and other regional talent across homeware, fashion, jewellery and more. You might also stumble across a cool pop-up, but overall, you’re guaranteed to find a celebration of regional craftsmanship, heritage and contemporary culture. Live performances from local talent are also a staple for the Marketplace, bringing the community together.
So, if you have an eye for design or just simply appreciate aesthetics, you might want to mark your calendar for this November and pack your camera so you don’t miss out on this cross-section of art and design and celebration of community.
