Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has received the Diamond Award for Excellence in Culture from the Asociación Española del Lujo (Luxury Spain), marking the highest distinction granted by the organisation.
The honour positions Her Highness as the only woman from the Arab region among this year’s 25 global recipients. The award recognises her leadership and contributions to strengthening culture as a driver of dialogue, innovation, and human progress.
The ceremony took place at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid, where Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, accepted the award on Her Highness’s behalf.
The presentation was led by Her Royal Highness Princess Béatrice d’Orléans and Cristina Martín Blasi, Presidents and Founders of the Asociación Española del Lujo.
The International Luxury Awards, Diamonds of Excellence, assembled 25 global leaders across industries, including Baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza and representatives from the United Nations, Chopard, Kering Group, Elie Saab, the World Economic Forum, and Mobile World Congress.
Established in 2010, the Asociación Española del Lujo promotes Spanish excellence across gastronomy, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and tourism. The Diamond Award for Excellence celebrates individuals and institutions that demonstrate lasting cultural impact and commitment to humanistic values.
