Quite luxury is dead. At least, in terms of jewellery. This year, it seems as if the pendulum has swung back dramatically as minimalist, dainty jewellery takes a backseat. Now, from runways to the average influencer on our feed, everyone is sporting loud-and-proud maximalist jewellery. Whether that would be statement earrings or a chunky but curated ring stack, people are looking for a little noise, some jingling to announce their arrival before they make an entrance. Now, with the festive season set to come up, there will be more dressing up and way more accessorising, and these are the jewellery trends you might catch us sporting.
Chunky Bangles

Even though the Fall/Winter season means the arms will be covered, there’s nothing stopping chunky bangles from being worn over thin long sleeves and cardigans. At least that’s how we saw Ferragamo style their runway this September. Whether wood or resin, these Art Deco pieces are going nowhere, adding a pop of colour and a hefty feel to any outfit.
Maximalist Cuffs

Similar to the chunky bangle trend, we’re noticing a rise in maximalist cuffs. They’re wide, sometimes sculptural, sometimes blinged out in gems and pearls. Some of our favourites are from Dior, with pieces that stand tall in their lustre and design.
Statement Rings

Courtesy of Georgina Rodríguez, we’re all set for looking at ring stacks curated around a statement ring. Whether that be a signet for the pinky, modified pearls and gems, or a diamond.
Cord Necklaces

A throwback to the 90s, this trend might not pair well with chunky knitwear, but can be complemented well with an open abaya. Spotted all over Copenhagen Fashion Week’s street style, you would think this trend is best for the summers. But, for a more autumnal feel, look for necklaces that feature metallic accents, stones, and abstract sculptural pendants.
Oversized Earrings

A silhouette that traces back to South Asian jewellery, we’ve been seeing oversized earrings as a statement piece all throughout September’s fashion week. From YSL’s pearl drops to Roberto Cavalli’s interlocking hoops, earlobes this season are in for a weight training session.
Layered Belts

While not exactly jewellery, we’re counting this on because this trend is dependent on the hardware. Plain leather belts stacked over another just look like a deconstructed corset. But switch them to leather belts with big, bold buckles and it’s as if the waist has been bejewelled.
Layering belts with bold hardware was first seen at Schiaparelli FW25 runway. We’ve been seeing iterations since, from Jennie at Coachella to style influencers online. And the colder months make it an ideal time to execute the trend. Even with the hardware, layered belts are like a deconstructed corset, and wearing them over sweaters helps cinch the waist while giving the overall outfit a point of interest.
Large Pendants

Call it the Glenn Martens effect, but even since we saw those larger-than-life pendants at the H&M collab, we have a feeling that big pendants will start making appearances on everyone’s clavicles this winter.
