Alserkal and Design Miami have announced a new multi-year partnership that will bring the global collectible design fair to the Middle East for the first time, with a flagship platform launching in Dubai in early 2027. The initiative will centre on a major event in the city, supported by year-round programming, and is intended to expand into the wider region over time.
Rooted in Dubai and active globally, Alserkal will work with Design Miami, long established as a leading forum for 20th and 21st century collectible design, to create a dedicated platform for designers, galleries, collectors and creative practitioners. Shaped by perspectives from the UAE and the broader Middle East, the collaboration aims to position Dubai as an international destination for collectible design, while creating new opportunities for regional talent on the global stage.

The partnership builds on Alserkal’s track record in transforming a former industrial site into one of the region’s most diverse cultural districts and on Design Miami’s two decades of experience convening galleries and collectors in Miami and Paris. Together, the two organisations plan to offer a programme that spans exhibitions, learning opportunities and community-focused events, with a focus on context-driven curation, experimentation and new perspectives.
Alserkal founder Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal describes the collaboration as globally significant, noting that connecting Dubai with Design Miami’s existing platforms in Miami and Paris creates “a powerful network” united by a forward-looking design vision. Design Miami’s leadership, meanwhile, highlights the chance to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage and spirit of innovation, and to connect regional designers with the international networks the brand has cultivated over the years.
Further details on the 2027 launch event and accompanying programmes will be announced in the coming months.
