The talent that comes out of Lebanon has never been subtle. From couture houses to young labels building their first collections, Lebanese designers have a way with craftsmanship that is instantly recognisable. Now, that talent is getting a bigger, more permanent spotlight.
This week, the Fédération Libanaise de la Mode and ABC signed a new Memorandum of Understanding, making ABC the exclusive mall partner for all initiatives developed with the federation and giving Lebanese designers a clear stage inside one of the country’s most influential retail destinations.
In practice, that means more than a pop-up here and there. The collaboration will see a programme of designer takeovers, curated showcases, capsules, incubator-style projects and public events roll out across ABC stores. The idea is to put Lebanese designers directly in front of shoppers on a regular basis, and give them the kind of visibility and commercial opportunity usually reserved for big international names.
For the Fédération Libanaise de la Mode, it’s a way of turning years of advocacy into a concrete platform. Instead of designers fighting for fragmented moments of attention, the partnership creates a home base where their work can be discovered, understood and actually bought. For ABC, it’s a natural extension of its role in Lebanese daily life, not just as a place to shop, but as a place where local creativity is seen and taken seriously.
You can expect to see more Lebanese names on the floor, more corners dedicated to homegrown stories, and more collections that feel rooted in the country’s own design language. It’s a much needed step to give Lebanese fashion a room to live, grow and meet its audience where they already are.
