Emily in Paris fans, the comfort show is back on air! Releasing their fifth season on Netflix just hours ago, viewers can expect standout fashion moments and our heroine Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) navigating Rome, Italy, this time instead of her beau, Paris. And when in Rome, we dress like the Romans. Or specifically, like the Roman fashion house, Fendi.
To celebrate the new season, the maison has released a capsule collection of handbags, available online and at selected boutiques. The collection features three handbags in two of Fendi’s most iconic styles—the Baguette and the Peekaboo. The bags themselves are designed with a tapestry-effect fabric, featuring the Fendi Dots motif and a combination of the FF and Art Deco-inspired polka dots in multicolour hues. The Peekaboo and one of the Baguettes feature dots in shades of pink, beige and brown, whereas the other Baguette features dots in matcha green, dark green and brown. Either way, we can totally see Emily rocking both as she starts a new chapter in her life.
Last season, we watched Emily being told by her boss, Sylvie (played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), to open a new Agence Grateau office in Rome. This season, we shall see exactly that; Emily’s new life in Rome, as well as her new professional change. This is not Emily’s first rodeo navigating a new city, so expect a more mature take compared to the playfulness of the earlier seasons. And of course, expect plenty of Fendi to hit the screens.
