Fireworks in the UAE have always been a grand affair. And if you’re planning to make a trip out of it this year, there are plenty of choices to choose from. From iconic landmarks in Dubai to record-breaking firework displays at Ras al Khaimah, we round up all the best spots to mark the beginning of 2026.

Dubai

Burj Khalifa

The most iconic spot for NYE fireworks, but you might have to deal with crowds and road closures. Roads such as Al Asayel Street, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashion Boulevard, Burj Khalifa Street, Lower Financial Centre Street, and Al Mustaqbal Street will close as early as 4 PM. Whereas Al Sukook Street is set to close at 8 PM, Upper Financial Centre Street will close at 9 PM, and Sheikh Zayed Road—between Al Maidaan intersection and Commercial Centre roundabout—will close at 11 PM. If you need to get to places, you can use the metro, which will operate till midnight, January 1.

Dubai Frame

A unique spot at Dubai’s Zabeel Park, fireworks at the Dubai Frame work in tandem with the fireworks display at the Burj Khalifa so consider this a two-in-one spot.

Dubai Festival City

Taking place at the promenade, the fireworks display is accompanied by a light show, making things all the more colourful.

Global Village

Expect a bit of a crowd, but a truly diverse one. Taking their global theme to heart, you can expect seven shows in seven time zones, celebrating the New Year again and again.

Burj al Arab

Another popular spot for firework displays, you might want to arrive early for this one to properly enjoy the iconic hotel getting lit by the beach.

Expo City Dubai

Probably not as crowded as the other spots on our list, you can expect plenty of food trucks and art installations to keep busy before counting down to midnight.

Bluewaters Dubai

The fireworks show will take place near Ain Dubai. And with access to plenty of dining options, expect a lively crowd.

Al Seef

Taking place at the Dubai Creek, the fireworks display at Al Seef offers an old-meets-new world charm.

Atlantis the Palm

Another iconic location with a stunning Insta-worthy backdrop, NYE at Atlantis the Palm will be more than just fireworks as Maroon 5 is set to perform.

Hatta

Although it’s a bit of a drive, the view makes it all worth it. Away from Dubai’s urban landscape, the backdrop for Hatta’s fireworks display is the mountain peaks. P.S. it’s colder than you would think so don’t forget to carry an extra jacket.

Ras Al Khaimah

Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra

Ras Al Khaimah goes all out with the firework displays every year, with the Emirate setting two Guinness World Records last year with its drone and fireworks show. This year, they’re upping the ante, launching the largest single firework to hopefully set another Guinness World Record. Not only that, but their fireworks display will be one of the largest displays in the world, stretching from Al Marjan Island to Al Hamra, a whopping 6 km!
