2025 saw a creative shift when it came to fashion. The clean silhouettes of past years remained but so did clashing patterns and prints, kaleidoscopic colours, and sparkle. Fashion is slowly but surely diverging and democratising, making space for all aesthetics, codes, and cuts. And what better platform to showcase this diversity than through social media? For the fashion-forward influencer, the world was their oyster, where every detail served as inspiration and nothing was too much. Clothes were thrifted, manipulated, and served in a myriad of ways, pushing the boundaries of fashion and personal style. Reflecting on this shift in 2025, we reached out to MENA influencers to look back on their personal style and on fashion’s overall evolution.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
Since the beginning of the year, my style has become more minimal and intentional. I’ve been drawn to timeless pieces, structured silhouettes, and calm neutral tones that reflect balance and confidence. It’s less about following trends and more about wearing what feels authentic to me.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
I was deeply inspired by Schiaparelli’s Haute Couture show last year. It blended surreal craftsmanship with structure and calm tones, turning imagination into wearable art. It was bold but not chaotic, a perfect balance of fantasy and discipline.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
My style always shifts with my mood and the vibe of each event, but at its core, it’s still streetwear with my own statement twist. Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into 90s references, stronger silhouettes, cleaner lines and pieces that feel nostalgic but elevated.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
My favourite moment has to be owning my space creatively, the shoots, the collaborations, the risks. 2025 was the year I stopped playing safe and started dressing exactly how I feel: bold, intentional, and unapologetic.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
My style has become much more modest. I’ve gravitated towards cleaner silhouettes, covered cuts, and timeless pieces that feel elegant without being loud. Less skin, more intention.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
Moving away from simple colours and starting to wear sparkly abayas instead. I loved how the shimmer added something extra to the look while still keeping it elegant and easy to wear.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
I’ve always had a classic sense of style, and it’s never shifted in a way that feels dramatic or unrecognisable. I like to dress in pieces that flatter my body and fit the vibe or setting I’m in—and yes, I’m almost always overdressed! I’ve always believed that more is more. I love colours, prints, sequins, and anything with a bit of sparkle, but I still make sure I choose the right outfit for the right place. No matter what I wear, you’ll always see my touch in it.
So, to answer the question, my style hasn’t changed drastically this year, but it has evolved. I’ve become more confident in how I want to express myself. I’m wearing even more colours and patterns—especially with abayas—and I’ve started to really understand my colour palette and what shades complement my skin best.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
My favourite fashion moment that truly impressed me this year is the revival of Chanel bags. I’ve always appreciated their craftsmanship across bags, shoes, and clothing, and watching the brand return with pieces that feel both elegant and modern has been incredibly inspiring.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
I don’t feel that my style has changed over this past year, but my styling sense has shifted a lot into trying to mix in more colours and contrast by using different accessories and mixing materials in the outfits that I wear.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
My favourite fashion moment this year is fashion going back to warm-toned colours and colour blocking in terms of styling. I also admire how lace and flowy silhouettes are coming back; it’s like bringing femininity back into fabrics.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
My style has become bolder and far more personal. Since starting fashion design this year, getting dressed has turned into a creative process rather than a routine. Every class became an opportunity to experiment, push myself, and step outside my comfort zone. I’ve grown more confident in expressing who I am through my clothes, studying what truly suits my body and identity, and focusing on creating looks that feel intentional rather than safe. I’m drawn to being different and leaving a mark through fashion.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
There wasn’t just one defining moment; it was a series of realisations. I feel most like myself in looks that balance masculine and feminine elements, whether that’s incorporating a tie or experimenting with avant-garde silhouettes. Those outfits made me feel seen and authentic. I’ve especially fallen in love with ties, they’re a simple detail that can completely elevate a look. This year also marked a turning point in how I approach modest fashion, what once felt limiting has now become a space for creativity and innovation, especially as I move closer to launching my own fashion line.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
This year, my style has become a lot more free and fluid. I don’t box myself into one aesthetic anymore—I’m just as happy in a T-shirt as I am in a super glam look. I love playing with fashion and choosing whatever feels good in the moment.
I’m obsessed with colours, patterns, and sequins, and I definitely have a strong maximalist side, but I also enjoy my minimalist moments with clean, simple silhouettes. Overall, this year I’ve really allowed myself to experiment with different styles, and it’s helped me realise that my style is a mix of everything I love, rather than one specific lane.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
My favourite fashion moment of 2025 was an event look where I wore a beautiful green organza skirt from a small boutique in Turkey with a simple white tank top. I fell in love with the fabric as soon as I saw it—it was so flowy, light and romantic!
When I styled it, everything just came together perfectly, and I felt so confident and comfortable. It was one of those outfits that really captured how I want my style to feel: effortless, expressive, and full of personality.

How has your style changed since the start of this year?
I think my style has definitely evolved this year. I’ve been leaning towards silhouettes that actually show my body rather than hide it, embracing pieces that feel confident and feminine instead of oversized or overly structured. I’ve also started experimenting a lot more with colour. I’ve always been someone who naturally gravitates toward black and neutrals (it’s hard not to!), but lately I’ve been having fun adding pops of colour into my looks. It’s been refreshing, like discovering a new side of my personal style that still feels very “me,” just a little bolder.
What was your favourite fashion moment from 2025?
There were honestly so many fashion moments this year that it’s hard to pick just one! But if I had to choose, the butter-yellow trend that completely took over summer definitely stands out; it was everywhere and it just felt so fresh and elegant. I also loved seeing animal prints make a comeback, and of course, the sparkly skirts paired with minimal tops, such a fun balance of glam and effortless. Those looks really captured the playful yet polished vibe that I love in fashion right now.
