As Ramadan 2026 officially begins, those around the world prepare for fasting, reflection, and charity. Within the UAE, there are plenty of initiatives to get into, including local efforts made in individual neighbourhoods. But if you’re looking for established charitable initiatives to support, these are the organisations worth donating to.

Dubai Charity Association
Dubai Charity Association carries out charitable projects year-round for dire situations around the world. For Ramadan, the organisation has launched their Ramadan Campaign to support vulnerable groups in society both local and international. The campaign aims to serve several humanitarian projects, including the distribution of food, aid, and other essential supplies, Iftar meals and Eid clothing to underprivileged communities, and will support Zakat al-Fitr donations. Those looking to donate can choose which project they wish to support, and donation amounts start at Dhs 10.
Dar Al Ber Society
One of the oldest charities in the UAE, the Dar Al Ber Society is currently working on multiple humanitarian projects. As part of their Ramadan campaign, those donating can choose to sponsor Iftar boxes, Ramadan baskets, their Eid clothing programme, and more. Those looking to donate can do so through SMS, mall kiosks, the DubaiNow app, or through the charity’s official website.
Emirates Red Crescent
Hosting Ramadan campaigns annually, this season’s campaign comes under the slogan “Ramadan Continuous Giving”. The campaign aims to help those in the UAE with food supplies, Iftar tents and meals, Ramadan supplies, Eid clothing, financial aid, and assistance with facilitating Hajj and Umrah. Donation amounts start at Dhs 10, and those donating can choose which category they wish to support.
Sharjah Charity International
Sharjah Charity International aims to celebrate Ramadan by providing Iftar meals to the underprivileged. With the aim of providing 15,000 meals this month, each meal costs Dhs 15, and those who sponsor can do so with WhatsApp, their call centre, or through the Sharjah Charity International official app.
Thrift For Good
While we don’t need excuses to shop, Thrift for Good has blended fashion with charitable projects ever since its establishment, making each purchase defined with a purpose. For Ramadan, the store has launched its Ramadan of Care and Education program, helping orphaned children in Tanzania. The project aims to support 35 children, building them safer homes, functional kitchens, and providing access to education. Those looking to support the cause can buy items with Thrift for Good’s special Ramadan tags or donate clothes or financial aid at Thrift for Good’s official website.
Dubai Cares
For over a decade now, charitable organisation Dubai Cares has been working to end the cycle of poverty by providing aid to future generations. Their funding projects are aimed at helping children access quality education and health services. While they haven’t launched a Ramadan campaign this season, those looking to support the organisation’s projects can still do so on their official website, helping underprivileged children in need.
Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS)
Helping those with disabilities with educational and training programmes, family counselling, and health services, the SCHS helps Arab families in the region with social services. Those looking to support the charity can donate any amount, with donations primarily going into access to assistive devices and technologies.
UAE Water Aid
Launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Water Aid is a campaign with a single cause: to provide clean drinking water to those around the globe. Donation amounts begin at Dhs 5, with funds helping to drill wells, provide water pumps and water purification equipment. You can also choose to donate bottled drinking water packs to mosques in the UAE.
