This season, our eyewear mood was practically decided for us the moment the runways sent out those gloriously unapologetic frames. Resort 2026 has been especially persuasive, with houses like Fendi, Gucci, Balenciaga, and Khaite all championing oversized sunglasses, while the wider Spring 2026 conversation is keeping tinted lenses, fuller aviators, and sportier shield shapes firmly in the picture. In other words, eyewear has slipped out of its little supporting role and claimed the front row, which, frankly, feels only right. If you’re looking to upgrade your rotation, here are some pairs to have on your radar.
A$AP Rocky X Ray-Ban | The Metal Collection

Celebrating one year as Ray-Ban’s first-ever Creative Director, A$AP Rocky debuts the metal collection, a blend between past eyewear eras and contemporary tastes. Metal eyewear is the continuation of our obsession with the Y2K era, and these frames follow that same style guide. Soft oval curves and narrow rectangles are etched in metal, while the rimless styles glint with the subtle bling. It’s understated and a stylish option for everyday wear.
Bottega Veneta

For a futuristic look that resembles the vibe of the Matrix, the latest by Bottega Veneta scratches that itch perfectly. The Prisma sunglasses are fashioned with gold rims that resemble eyebrows, while the Duo Angle line is a collection of cat-eye frames fashioned to look almost like alien eyes. It’s stylish and funky and we can’t wait to get our hands on a pair!
Gentle Monster

Another brand known for its futuristic designs, Gentle Monster’s SS26 collection went on the minimalistic route this season. Most of the frames feature soft curves with metal temples that make them timeless to style.
Gucci Eyewear

Expressive silhouettes mixed with a distinctive modern edge are what you can expect from Gucci Eyewear. Each frame is unapologetically loud with metallic Gucci logo accents. A statement piece if we’ve ever seen one!
Jean Paul Gaultier

Going to the JPG of the ‘90s and early 2000s, this SS26 collection comes with plenty of past references, reinterpreted for a 2026 audience. The rims and temples here are the star of the show as the opticals feature clever designs in gold, silver, and metallic wiring.
Magda Butrym

Entering the world of eyewear, Magda Butrym’s collection is a natural continuation of the brand’s SS26 collection. With three distinctive shapes—oval, round, and rectangle—the brand works in its house codes, leaving us with edgy pairs that also teeter to the feminine side.
Saint Laurent | HOWL

The latest eyewear line by Saint Laurent, HOWL is all about attitude. In a sculptural silhouette, the eyewear comes in oversized frames, one in a pilot and one in a rectangular. On the face it delivers a no-nonsense attitude, something we can see Miranda Priestly donning.
Valentino

Reflecting on eyewear as both an essential object and as a form of creative expression, Valentino’s latest line draws from its Haute Couture legacy and house codes. The result is pieces referencing motifs of the house and the Maison’s signature shade of Valentino red. Tying each piece together is the Valentino “Vlogo”, which either sits firm on the temples or embedded beneath lacquer. This is a line where the details mean everything and would fit perfectly with a loud and proud maximalist outfit.
