Eid al-Adha rarely looks the same for everyone. While some are preparing for Hajj, the rest have their hands filled with every kind of occasion you can think of. If you’re in the latter, then it’s time that your wardrobe matches your plans so you can skip the last-minute shopping and outfit stress. Whether it’s a gown you need or versatile accessories that complete a look, here is how you can look your best self during the Eid break.

For Brunch

Brunches call for light, airy fabrics and bold, vivid colours. So reach out for abayas and kaftans in pinks, yellows, oranges, or blues. For a metallic option, opt for an all-gold look; after all, the monochromatic metallic is on trend!

For Afternoon Tea

Although afternoon teas are usually a quieter affair, there’s nothing wrong with arriving in a loud outfit! It’s best to skip feathers, fringes, and other moving pieces in your outfit here, as they can interfere with the table, so stick to sleeved dresses, jumpsuits, and feminine floral prints.

Hosting at Home

While some like to leave the country, others enjoy opening their homes, and if that sounds like something on your agenda, then curating a hostess look is just as important as managing every detail at home. Stick to maxi dresses and abayas here. They give off a clean look and are easy to style, making them ideal options when you already have a lot going on. For jewellery, stick to delicate pieces and tennis necklaces that elevate an outfit without getting in the way.

For Sundowners

If catching up with friends during a sundowner is on the agenda, then pull out the uber trendy pieces close to your heart; your friends will be the ones to appreciate them the most. Draped dresses, cape tops with jeans, deconstructed jackets paired with a lace scarf detail, the options to dress casual but chic are endless!

For Dinner

Evenings out are the moments to go all in. Opt for metallic dresses, embellished pieces, and shiny fabrics like satin and silk paired with a statement clutch. Cape silhouettes bring out the most fun with movement, and so do relaxed kaftans. For jewellery, opt for drop earrings big enough to make a statement and delicate hand chains that offer a subtle sparkle.

Family Gatherings

Family gatherings come with cosy moments and heartfelt chatter that settles deep into the night. So it’s best to dress for comfort above all. Go for abayas with kimono sleeves, dresses with relaxed silhouettes, and minimalistic designs over heavier embellished ones.

Exploring the City

The region has spoiled us for choice when it comes to celebrating Eid in public. So whether you’re visiting a local market, a performance, or taking a trip to an art gallery, dress for ease of movement. Co-ords sets keep things polished while still being obvious occasion wear, while midi dresses in structured silhouettes are also comfortable daywear while retaining a feminine look.
