With a few months left to go, the latest gadget we’re expecting to see in everyone’s hands this year is the iPhone 18. Featuring new colourways, new models, and new features, there is a lot to look forward to when September rolls around. And if a new phone is on the agenda, here’s everything we know about the iPhone 18 so far before you make your purchase.
Models and Release Dates
Normally, the iPhone comes in two models—the standard model and Pro. Over the years, the lineup has widened to include the Pro Max and the ‘e’ models that allow for an affordable entry point to the brand. The iPhone 18 will include all 4 models, and a new foldable version. Rumoured to be called the Ultra, this model will be approximately 5.5 inches when closed and approximately 7.8 inches when open. There are also rumours of a second-generation iPhone Air.
The release dates for these six models will be split across the year, a first for the brand. The Pro, Pro Max, and foldable phone are what we can expect in September 2026, while the lower-end versions, the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e, and the second-generation iPhone Air will be released in Spring 2027.
Details of the iPhone 18 Lineup
While no official details of the lineup have been released, speculated leaks have revealed possible specifications and design of the new iPhone 18 lineup. Most of the leaked models seem to be similar to the iPhone 17, with the Pro models retaining their size—6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. Another detail is the colours. Leaks have suggested that a new colourway called Dark Cherry will be available among the Pro models, alongside Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver, colours we’ve caught in previous iPhones.
Beyond the design, users can expect a slimmed-down Dynamic Island, a 2-nanometer A20 chip that is rumoured to be 30% more efficient than the A19 chip, LTPO+ Displays for improved battery life, a 24-megapixel front-facing camera, a simplified Camera Control Button and a Variable Aperture Camera Lens that help with easier picture taking and photo control, and a C2 Modem, Apple’s custom cellular model that will improve 5G performance. Pro models can also expect an N2 chip, an upgrade from the N1 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip, a redesigned ceramic shield that gives a frosted glass look, and finally, the Pro Max is speculated to have a thicker body to accommodate a larger battery.
Expected Prices

Possibly the most talked-about detail—just how much are these gadgets going to cost us? With no official report, tech analysts have gone to guesswork, and the price is higher than normally expected. Looking through Apple’s current price hikes for its products, the new estimated prices for the Pro and Pro Max are now looking to be anywhere between Dhs 4,585 and Dhs 5,135, making them one of the most expensive phones in the region. A fitting evolution for the brand as smartphones continue to become the latest canvas for fashion and beauty.
