If you move through Dubai’s fashion launches, members’ rooms, and after-dark calendar, chances are you have already moved to a Miss Rich set.

Her work sits between music and fashion without forcing the connection, shaped by a career built in the city and a personal belief in sound as release, memory and mood. For Soigné Middle East Issue 003, Setting The Pace, Miss Rich steps out from behind the decks to talk about the city that shaped her, the moments that brought her fashion references full circle and the playlist she made exclusively for Soigné Middle East.

How would you describe the energy of a Miss Rich set?

A Miss Rich set is elegant, emotional, and powerful. I love taking people on a journey that moves through different moods and energies rather than staying in one place. My sets are influenced by fashion, storytelling, and the belief that music can be a form of healing. You can expect hypnotic rhythms, moments of nostalgia, and a dance floor that feels both uplifting and liberating.

This issue spotlights Women in Motion. What does that phrase mean to you?

To me, Women in Motion represents growth, evolution, and courage. It’s about women who continue moving forward despite challenges, constantly reinventing themselves and creating their own opportunities. As a woman working in the music industry, I’ve learned that progress doesn’t always happen overnight, but consistency, passion, and resilience can take you anywhere.

What does the rhythm of your day looks like?

My days usually begin with meditation, movement, and spending time with my animals. Those quiet moments help me stay grounded before stepping into the fast pace of my career. The rest of my day is often filled with music preparation, discovering new tracks, creating content, and planning future projects. At night, I step into a completely different rhythm behind the decks, connecting with people through music.

Are there any moments behind the decks that still feel unforgettable?

Opening sets for the top 10 artists I admire and also playing for the most important fashion brands of the world has been incredibly special, but one of the most memorable moments of my career was performing for Jean Paul Gaultier. It was particularly meaningful because it connected two of my greatest passions: music and fashion. As a lifelong Madonna fan, meeting JPG was already a dream come true, but the experience became even more special when a replica of the iconic cone corset he designed for Madonna was brought to me from Paris to wear during my performance. It was one of those rare moments where the worlds that have inspired me for so many years came together in a truly unforgettable way.

How does fashion influence the way you show up as a DJ?

Fashion has always been a huge part of my identity. I don’t dress up to impress other people, I do it because it makes me feel good and allows me to express who I am. Fashion is something deeply personal to me, just like music. I’ve always been passionate about both worlds, and I see them as two creative languages that often tell the same story.

Together, they help me create an experience that feels authentic to who I am as an artist.

What do you love most about being a female DJ in this region?

I’m incredibly grateful to Dubai because this is where my career truly began and grew. It’s a city full of opportunities that constantly opens doors for people who are willing to work hard, stay disciplined, and keep showing up. I’ve been fortunate to build my path here, and I love being surrounded by ambitious and creative people from all over the world who inspire each other to dream bigger.
