This weekend, Dubai pulses through the weekend with cafe takeovers, exclusive screenings, and more. Recent restaurant openings add new dining spots to the list while niche brands offer a new perspective on Dubai design. Here are the places you’ll find us at this weekend.

Born in Dubai, niche fragrance house Siyate is all about bottling the moments made to linger. Their collections range from delicious gourmands to reimagined rituals across cultures. And their latest collection Nostalgia blends the two by taking simple moments that are all too relatable in the UAE and turning them into spritzes. With 6 distinctive extrait de parfums ranging from summer days to childhood birthdays to the everyday ritual of sipping on karak, you can find a piece of memory in each scent.

Sara Omaira

Based in Abu Dhabi, Sara Omaira brings abaya designs that range from playful to edgy. What they have in common though are bold prints, curated washes of colour, and printmaxxing. And our favourites are the particularly loud ones—zebra prints mixed with turquoise and camel tones, chocolate browns trimmed with bronze accents and a geometric design, and their series of ombre gradients.

To Watch

Klara and the Sun

A Saudi Arabian rom-com, A Matter of Life and Death stars Yaqoub Alfarhan and Sarah Taibah in a film surrounding magic, chaos, and comedy. Following the story of a young woman who is cursed, we watch as she forces a heart surgeon into a pact to outsmart death, kicking off the events of the film.
