Get ready to deck yourself out in red, green, black and white because Eid Al Etihad 2025, a.k.a the 54th UAE National Day, is rolling in on December 2, 2025.
“Eid Al Etihad”, literally meaning, “Festival of the Union” is a time to celebrate unity, progress, and that very first handshake in 1971 that brought the UAE to life. The 2025 theme is expected to continue highlighting the “Spirit of the Union,” spotlighting the country’s inspiring history and growing future.

Wondering about holidays? Expect a four, or even five, day weekend, with December 2-3 being confirmed as public holidays for both public and private sectors, and December 1 being Commemoration Day. That leaves you plenty of time to catch the parades and watch the fireworks shows all around the country.
The official national ceremony will happen on December 2, at a location that’s still under wraps – but if last year’s event at Jebel Hafeet was anything to go by, it’s going to be major.
Meanwhile, the Emirates are planning their own shows. Expect impressive fireworks, drone shows, flag parades, and more across landmarks like Yas Island and Global Village.
So, mark your calendars, book those staycays, and get ready for what’s shaping up to be another unforgettable long weekend in the UAE.
