As fashion’s biggest runway struts on, we take a look at some of the coolest collections, filtering out what could best suit the modest dresser as well as blend in with the Gulf weather. And the collections don’t disappoint, continuing to give us necklines, silhouettes, and layered fits that we can play with. Here are the highlights from New York Fashion Week SS26: Day 4
COS

Returning to the runway, COS unveiled its AW25 collection at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse along Brooklyn’s waterfront. In a white, architectural stage, the runway came alive with striking looks, drawing eyes to the contrast. The collection’s colour palette leaned towards dark and moody—blacks, greys, and deep navy, with a hint of neutral creams and browns. Whereas the pieces themselves were a testament to COS’s craftsmanship and quality. We saw fluid drapery, feminine cuts, statement checkered print, and leather pieces redefined from grunge to sophisticated.
Sandy Liang

Nostalgia and reimagining childhood have slowly become a common theme for designers. From Jacquemus’ “Le Paysan” to Emergency Room’s GOLDEN (R)AGE 2.0 at Dubai Fashion Week, playfulness mixed with grandma chic is slowly strutting the runways. Sandy Liang’s SS26 collection was the latest to tap into this nostalgia. Channelling vintage whimsy, the collection held intentional layering where every piece comes with a story—ruffled dresses with cartoon prints paired with laced capris, a dress featuring tiny toy dresses for a forgotten Barbie, and billowing sleeve tops paired with silk skirts that have little trinkets stitched on. For the modest dresser looking to play around and add a bit of playfulness to their outfit, Sandy Liang’s collection presents a lot of great pieces to layer with.
Ulla Johnson

Ulla Johnson’s SS26 collection is pure dreamy-ness! With pieces that encapsulate a woman in motion, we see fluid colours blending with one another, botanicals, bohemian crochet, and tiered skirts and dresses we can imagine in a Taylor Swift music video. The collection also features maxi skirts, high-rise necklines, and sheer jackets to layer with, leaving the modest dresser spoilt for choice.
Bach Mai

Soft, everyday glamour was the core theme of Bach Mai’s SS26 collection. Everyday pieces made luxe with fabrics that pull in sophistication. We also saw plenty of trendy items appearing—sheer fabric, shirt dresses, and so many polka dots! Outerwear was the star of this collection, with trenches over evening gowns giving dramatic dresses a sense of ease and coolness. Overall, the collection speaks to easy wearability while remaining elevated and chic.
