A brief stint with experimentation, and now the Dubai-based creator sports street style that’s chic, bold, and made to be lived in.
Initially posting her casual wear outfits, these posts gained traction which prompted her to post styling videos. Soon after, we see the content creator come out of her all-black ensembles into vivid colours and feminine silhouettes while retaining the chunky sneakers and bronze glam makeup.
At the beginning of 2025, Mai’s’ fashion journey took another shift as she enrolled at the FAD Institute of Luxury Fashion and Design, Dubai. Now her style is funky, fun, and most importantly, wearable. As a mother to 2, her profile isn’t just a capsule for her fashion but an archive for her life, which she wears on her sleeves. Dresses layered over skirts isn’t just joining a trend; it’s a real outfit for date night. Billowing tops with combat boots isn’t just a moodboard photo but a’ staycation outfit. Each fit comes with a location, a purpose, and a piece of her’ identity as a modest dresser.
And to Edris, that’s the whole point. As she told Soigné last year, dressing for the creator isn’t merely an act but a creative ritual that helps her innovate and be her authentic self. By adding avant-garde expressions through the streetwear mould, she builds on modest wear that people normally gloss over. And by sticking true to her style, we get asymmetrical moments on jeans, tomato red accents, leather gloves over a standard hoodie, and ties where you’d least expect them.
