The cruise chapters for most fashion houses were usually described under the Mediterranean sun, spanning its coastlines with the backdrop of its sea to match. This year, maisions are elevating the coastline concept, either replacing them with a different coastline or switching them up with spaces steeped in fashion history. And by doing so, this season has become one of the most anticipated cruise chapters for the fashion-forward. If you haven’t been keeping up, these are the dates and locations of each show that you wouldn’t want to miss.
Chanel
Taking place on April 28, 2026, Matthieu Blazy will debut his first Cruise collection at Biarritz, France. This idyllic seaside town continues Blazy’s intergenerational dialogue with Gabrielle Chanel, as this is where the couturier set up her first couture house in the Villa de Larralde in 1915.
Dior

On May 13, 2026, Jonathan Anderson heads to Los Angeles to present his first Cruise collection under Dior at the LACMA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the largest museum in the Western United States. Culturally charged and with a contemporary edge, it is one of the city’s most significant architectural landmarks and a change of scene from the coastlines that we’re used to.
Gucci

Going from the West Coast to the East Coast, Demna will be presenting his first cruise collection on May 16 in New York City. While the venue is still under wraps, the location is another culturally charged place for the house. In 1953, Gucci opened its first international store in New York, signifying its expansion. In 2015, the house presented its 2016 cruise collection, then under the direction of creative designer Alessandro Michele. The location has clearly been a favourite for the house as its creative energy is one of the mansion’s many sources for inspiration.
Louis Vuitton

Following Gucci, Louis Vuitton will also be presenting its Cruise 2027 show in New York City on May 20, 2026. While the venue hasn’t been officially announced, reports mention that the show will be a blend of creative visions of Pharrell Williams and Nicolas Ghesquière, where high fashion meets street culture. And as the birthplace of various cultural moments between both, what better location than New York?
Max Mara

Finally, turning eastward, Max Mara will showcase their Cruise 2027 collection at China’s coastline. Taking place on June 16, 2026, in Shanghai, the show will be the maison’s second presentation at Shanghai after their Pre-Fall 2017 season. Details surrounding the show and its venue are still undisclosed, but the location signals a cultural turn with labels reaching towards Asia and its clientele. Maison Margiela did the same by choosing to present its FW26 artisanal and ready-to-wear at a shipping container dock in Shanghai. The city brings its own glamour, defined by its duality of tradition and new wave futurism. With this tension, we can probably expect more houses to look towards the East in the future.
