Layering has a way of making the clothes you already own feel a little different. This season, oversized shirts, longline jackets, dresses over trousers and combinations you probably wouldn’t think to put together are giving modest dressing even more personality. It’s less about piling on clothes and more about playing around with how different pieces fit and work together.

From shirt-on-shirt layering to combinations that are a little outside the usual but somehow look really good, these hijabi creators make it all feel much easier than it actually is. If your wardrobe has been feeling a little boring lately, these are the girls to scroll through.

نادين ☥

Nadine plays with roomier pieces and oversized layers, often letting one layer peek out from underneath another without making the whole thing feel too busy. Her looks are especially good if you like your modest looks feel chic, cool and a little undone.

Edwina Anandita

Edwina knows how to balance structure and proportions, often pairing long coats with fitted basics or adding an extra layer to an otherwise simple outfit. Her styling is definitely on the maximalist side, with layers and details that are still very balanced.

Mariam

Mariam mixes oversized shirts, long skirts, wide-leg trousers and statement layers, often stacking different lengths to create a more interesting shape. She’ll pair a loose top with a long skirt, throw a jacket over a dress, or add a layer one would think twice before reaching for.

If you think faceless creators can’t serve a look, @khoutenshii will change your mind. Her feed is full of creative layering, oversized shapes, moody neutrals and little styling details that make you stop mid-scroll. It’s understated, a little unexpected, and packed with ideas worth saving.

falisha

Falisha makes layering look quite easy to recreate, and she’s not shy with colour either. Her outfits bring together vibrant shades, lace and fun shoes with simple layers.

Assia

Assia has a real eye for prints and textures, mixing leopard and zebra prints with belts, jewellery and layered pieces that give her outfits a lot of personality. She’s good at mixing everything from printed layers and chunky belts to stacks of jewellery and textured pieces.

sude

Sude’s outfits have this fun, whimsical thing going on, with lots of colour, pretty prints and a mix of soft pastels and earthy tones. She also likes to have fun with her hijabs, switching up the way she wraps and styles them to match the mood of each outfit.

فاطمة

Fatima has that cool-girl styling down, with little styling details that make the whole outfit feel more interesting. She’ll wear stockings under midi skirts, layer shirts so the cuffs and collars peek through, and use little pops of colour to break things up.

Jameelah

Jameelah Nora isn’t afraid to have a little fun with her wardrobe. She’ll pair skirts with trousers, mix in funky shades and play around with combinations that shouldn’t work on paper but somehow look chic. She’s the epitome of experimental, and we’re all in for that.

Afsha Anjum

Afsha has that clean-girl layering down, but she doesn’t keep things too plain. She brings in fun prints and really pretty colour combinations, keeping the whole look chic while still giving the outfit a little something.

Tasmiyah Sheikh

Tasmiyah has a fun way of styling the pieces you probably already have. She plays around with scarves, sometimes wrapping one around her waist, and works with softer hues that keep her outfits feeling light.
