In partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises, Ma’an is a programme for UAE entrepreneurs and emerging businesses, allowing them to grow through visibility and helping them ease financial pressure from these times of uncertainty.
The brands will be showcased in pop-ups across Majid Al Futtaim destinations across malls, cinemas and homegrown stores such as THAT Concept Store. They will also get a digital presence through the SHARE app and will benefit from Majid Al Futtaim’s marketing and promotional support, ensuring that these businesses can grow and last outside of the pop-up concept.
This initiative comes at a time when businesses are at a turning point. With regional conflict and subsequent supply chain and economic tensions, the price is paid by the average citizen. Those in the UAE understand this all too well and have begun supporting local businesses however they can. Hence, the uptick in initiatives to manage and facilitate support. Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding explains that Ma’an comes with that same principle in mind. “The role of our malls has always been to bring people and communities together, and that responsibility has never been more important than it is today,” he said. “Small businesses are a cornerstone of the UAE’s economic and social fabric, and Ma’an reflects our commitment to creating pathways for homegrown brands to scale and thrive.”
